500 _aSeminar organised by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, in collaboration with the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice in the UK
520 _aAs part of National Family Week, the Nursing Journal award-winning Couple and Family Therapy team at the Mount Zeehan Alcohol Treatment Unit in Canterbury, Kent, will discuss their work aided by contributions from people who have used their service. The seminar, for professionals and interested members of the public, hopes to stimulate discussion and ideas about ways in which couples and families can better manage the difficulties that attend alcohol misuse. Alcohol misuse is not just a personal problem but activates and organises family relationships around it. Family groups with assistance can and do use their strengths and resources to address it successfully
